Halverson Log Cabin

Gulick Halverson and Dorothea Madson Halverson were Norwegian immigrants
to the Wisconsin farming frontier in the 1840ís. Eight children were born in their log cabin home,
which they built by hand, and which now stands on the
University of Wisconsin Whitewater campus as a reminder
of the pioneer heritage of the state and the University.
